Sidney James Ottley scrapbook, 1912-1978.

Scrapbook containing correspondence, poems, essays, magazine and newspaper clippings, and an autbiography. The correspondence are between Ottley and his stepmother, Isabella B. Erekson. They deal largely with Ottley's activities in New Zealand both as a missionary for the Mormon Church and as a teacher at the Maori Agricultural College in New Zealand. The poems and essays relate to Ottley's beliefs in the Mormon faith. The clippings deal largely with human values.

Sidney James Ottley was a missionary and Mission President in New Zealand. He was born in 1890 in South Cottonwood, Utah and died in 1982. Ernest A. Ottley was born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1888 and died in 1968. Ernest and Sidney were the sons of Edward and Thirza Ottley and each served LDS missions to New Zealand.
